Volition Brewing has teamed up with Seattle Mountain Rescue to bring you the Crowler Climb, a one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt where the trails are your map, and an outdoor reward awaits at the finish. We’ve hidden five crowler cans on five different local trails—your mission is to follow the clues, hit the trail, and rescue these lost cans!
How It Works:
- Track down clues—released on our social media and website—to find the hidden crowlers.
- Once you find one, snap a selfie with your discovery and tag @volitionbrewing and @seattlemountainrescue.
- Bring your crowler back to Volition Brewing to claim a special prize just for you!

Clues
Clue #1
You’ll start near signs with legends old,
Where giant tales were once retold.
A hiker highway, switchback grind,
With sore quads left and views behind.
If haystack rocks come into view—
You’ve earned your sweat and summit, too.
Clue #2
It’s little, yes—but don’t be smug,
This trail still gives your lungs a tug.
With rocks and roots and weekend crowds,
And barking dogs that howl so loud.
A “starter hike,” or so they say—
Until your calves revolt halfway.
Clue #3
A mossy maze, a forest spin,
With boulders big enough to win.
The climbers chalk, the hikers roam,
The trees all whisper, “You’re not home.”
It loops through moss and granite halls—
A sneaky hike that gently brawls.
Clue #4 *FOUND!*
The river sings, the water roars,
You’ll hike through mist on wooden floors.
A photo op? Oh, take your pick—
Just watch your step—it can get slick.
Two roaring falls, one winding way—
You’ll earn your views the soggy way.
Clue #5 *FOUND!*
This trail’s a beast, let’s not pretend—
It feels like climbing without an end.
You’ll trip on roots, you’ll curse the grade,
Then question every choice you’ve made.
But reach the top, and you just might
Find mail… and bragging rights.
